Text Box: What is Camp Fire Connoisseurs?  Camp Fire Connoisseurs is a group of committed, caring and creative volunteers who help raise money for Central Rockies Council with events emphasizing fun, fellowship and fundraising!   At least once a quarter, Connoisseurs descends upon a Denver-area restaurant for Happy Hour and then dinner. It gives men and women a chance to network for personal and business interests, brings a new and different clientele to the restaurant and BEST OF ALL, raises money for Central Rockies! That’s accomplished through the hosting restaurant donating a portion of the fun evening’s proceeds to our mission of building caring, confident youth and future leaders through fun and educational experiences encouraging hard work, healthy choices and respect for self, others and community.  Come join the fun! Our next Connoisseurs event is Tuesday evening September 25 th at Annabel’s in Greenwood Village at 5960 S. Holly Street. Please call 303-488-2662 to make a reservation. Happy Hour begins at 5PM.  In addition to our quarterly restaurant events, Connoisseur volunteers also play a major role in planning and implementing other Central Rockies Council fundraising events.  Here is the preliminary calendar for 2008  March 20, 2008: The “Absolutely Incredible” luncheon at the JW Marriott in Cherry Creek North. On this day, Central Rockies will honor “absolutely incredible” kids, volunteers, sponsors and partners in conjunction with Camp Fire USA’s national same-day celebration of “Absolutely Incredible Kids Day.”  Summer 2008: The first Camp Fire “Hot as Fire” Chili Cook Off  Fall 2008: The first Camp Fire “Media Talent Show”  Does Camp Fire Connoisseurs sound like fun?  We are.  Come join us!  For information, please call Mark McIntosh @ 303-333-7142 or email: mark@campfirerockies.org
